Strengthening and Extending Rutherford House.
Victoria University is undertaking a major redevelopment of Rutherford House, a key part of its Pipitea campus in Wellington. The project includes the construction of a new six-storey annex on the Featherston Street side of the existing building, designed to expand teaching, learning, and research spaces while enhancing the overall functionality and aesthetic of the facility.
As part of the mechanical services installation, Aquaheat Wellington was contracted to deliver efficient and durable systems. They selected the KE KELIT STEELFIX stainless steel press-fit piping system for its proven performance in demanding commercial environments. This system offers a reliable, hygienic, and corrosion-resistant solution, ideally suited to high-rise educational buildings like Rutherford House. The use of STEELFIX ensures longevity and reduced maintenance, supporting the university's goal of sustainable, future-proofed infrastructure.

“The speed and ease of installation provided significant advantages during the installation; no hot work permits or heavy equipment was a huge plus. The support and delivery from the KE KELIT team was, as always exceptional"
