Selecting the Right Central Heating System

The first step is to have a conversation about your priorities and expectations. Through this process, we'll come to find the most suitable central heating system, along with the ideal heat source for your home and lifestyle.

Central Heating Costs

Following the initial consultation, you'll receive a written summary outlining the recommended central heating system, along with estimated installation and operating costs.

Bringing Your Heating System to Life

Based on the needs of your home and the chosen system, we’ll proceed with a full design in collaboration with one of our design engineers, and connect you with a trusted installer who can guide you through the installation process.

The Design Process

At KE KELIT NZ we bring a European approach when designing central heating systems for New Zealand homes.

Thermal Analysis

A 3D model of your homes is created, and all project-specific building information is entered into the thermal calculation software.

Design

The design process involves sizing your central heating system. Things like the amount of underfloor heating piping and the size of radiators are important for heating your home effectively.

Fine-tuning

Fine-tune the design by optimising the central heating system to improve efficiency and reduce energy consumption.

Control System

The control of your central heating system will be tailored to your family’s requirements, lifestyle and specific requests.

Before We Start Designing...

To begin the design process, our design engineers team will require a set of house plans. This is usually straightforward for new builds, but for existing homes, accurate plans can sometimes be difficult to source.

If plans aren’t available, we’ll arrange a convenient time to visit and measure your home. During this visit, we’ll gather the necessary details to ensure a precise and effective system design.

All designs are completed following European central heating standards. Once finalised, you’ll receive full design documentation, including verification reports and detailed system and installation drawings.

Designing for Efficiency & Responsibility

At KE KELIT, we are committed to upholding our values, delivering responsible solutions to our clients, and caring for the environment. By incorporating high-efficiency heat sources and weather-compensating controls, we help homeowners significantly reduce energy costs and lower CO₂ emissions over time.

When it comes to system design, KE KELIT follows two non-negotiable principles:

  • All heat sources must be high-efficiency.

  • Every system must include weather-compensating control.

While these requirements are mandatory in countries like Germany, New Zealand still permits more basic options. However, we believe the long-term benefits far outweigh the modest additional investment. Energy savings can exceed 30%, and once the initial cost is recovered, you’ll enjoy efficient and cost-effective performance for the lifetime of your central heating system.
