KE KELIT EXPANDS IT ACTIVITES IN THE GERMAN MARKET
KE KELIT Acquires DW Verbundrohr
The KE KELIT group, located in Linz an der Donau in Austria, has purchased all shares in the company DW Verbundrohr GmbH in Hassfurt. The contracts were signed by both companies in Frankfurt on 09/04/2018. It was agreed that the purchasing price shall remain confidential.
Both KE KELIT and DW Verbundrohr, with its brand Multitubo, are well known in the market for plumbing systems. Both companies sell systems for drinking water and heating installations. Whereas DW Verbundrohr ́s strategy is clearly focussed on multilayer pipes, the Austrian company has a much wider scope, offering stainless steel and carbon steel systems alongside its plastic and multilayer pipes. Both companies implement a three-tier distribution channel, selling via trade wholesalers for heating and hot and cold water. Their customer base covers installers, consultants, housing associations and other investors in construction and building technologies. The companies know each other well and already work closely together in some areas.
“DW Verbundrohr is a dynamic, growing and successful company in the installation systems sector. The company fits perfectly in our growth strategy and the company culture is very similar to ours” said Karl Egger, Managing Director of KE KELIT. “We look forward to our future together and are confident that we can develop the business successfully.” The company is led by Karl Egger and his sister, Kristine Egger, who represent the third generation of the family.
DW Verbundrohr will act to a large degree independently in the German market. Synergy benefits are expected in purchasing and the product range.
Bernhard Dietz, founder and owner of DW Verbundrohr, is sure that their success story will continue at the side of KE KELIT. “It was important for me to offer long-term security to my staff. Cooperating with a strong partner, well-suited to our company, opens up new perspectives for us and will allow us to achieve sustainable growth in the future. KE KELIT will benefit from our access to the German market and knowledge of the market. We will be able to access new technologies and products.” Bernhard Dietz and his team will continue to manage the company in the future. They will be supported in their partnership with KE KELIT by Mrs Kristine Egger and Mr Heiko Folgmann, responsible for business development and worldwide sales at the Austrian company, who are also appointed Managing Directors.
